Young Glory 2021/22
8 months. 8 briefs. 8 big name judges.
A worldwide creativity competition devoted to awarding creative consistency.
Described as 'Advertising’s Tour de France for young creatives.'
Copywriter Oli Nicholson and I decided to give it a shot. Here's a selection of our favourite ideas.
Brief One: Get people to buy their presents on Wish this Christmas.
Wish TV - Round 1 Finalist
Brief Two: Come up with an idea that encourages those still hesitant to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Blue Jab & Luxury Bandaids - Round 2 Finalist (but we like the others more)
Brief Three: The fictitious ‘Flubber’ technology has become a reality. The NBA, NCAA and professional leagues across the world are still undecided on if they will ban or allow the technology. But it’s now available to consumers. Drive sign-ups to the subscription and create momentum for the brand.
Gravity vs Grafitti - Round 3 Silver
Flub Trade - a person favourite
Brief Four: Create a big budget global tourism campaign to entice young travellers to choose Australia for their first overseas holiday or working-holiday adventure in a post-COVID world.
∀ƎʞI - Round 4 Finalist
Brief Five: Build an idea that leverages the Sims brand and platform to help teach the realities of sex to young people before it gets too real.
Unfortunately no winners this round but still a fun idea!
Brief Six: Roll out a campaign encouraging kids to start playing basketball.
Brief Seven: Get people excited about the African Cup of Nations
